Recipes I Like/Use

Vanilla Hair Rinse

  • 1c water
  • 2TBS apple cider vinegar, (if too oily cut it back to 1 TBS)
  • 3TBS vanilla extract
-Mix together and put in a squeeze bottle.  Keep on hair for at least 30 seconds and wash out with lukewarm water.  Use at your leisure.  For some people they use it only one ends and not every wash cause they have oily hair.
-Vinegar helps to close and smooth the hair cuticles so super shiny.

Vanilla Sugar Body Scrub
  • 1c sugar
  • Oil (I use coconut, it is a heavier oil)
  • 1-2 TBS Vanilla extract
-Measure the sugar and oil enough oil to make it wet (not sopping wet) and add vanilla scent.  Use this once a week to exfoliate and moisturize.  During the winter I might use it more often.
-The coconut oil I use comes in a solid form, so I find adding water to the mixture helps.  If it hardens up just add some more water and mix it up with a spoon.
 -This also tastes really good.

Lemon Face Scrub

  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp olive oil

-Mix and apply.
-I left it on for 15 min then washed. TIissue the extra oil off.
-Use only 2-3 times a week to get smooth, hydrated, and even toned skin.

Pore Stripping Facial

  • 1 egg white
  • Toilet/Tissue

-Wash face.
-Whip up the egg white and apply to skin one area at a time.
-Apply a single sheet of tissue to area then add a layer of egg white to the tissue.
-When all the areas are applied (Apply gently to the eyebrows!  They could rip off!)  let it dry.  It will become hard.
-Carefully take paper mask off.  See how much gunk comes out of your pores!
The video I found this at says you can do this a few times in a week at first to get rid of black and whiteheads.  Afterwards it probably needs to be done once a week or so.  Her skin is gorgeous!!

More to come!

People tend to ask me about my hair. Little girls LOVE it.
Pinks and reds tend to fade out fast, but mine tends to stay really well.
Tips and Tricks:

I use Splat, Pink Fetish found at Wallgreens. It does NOT look like it says on the box. It contains a bleaching agent and a semi-permanent stain.
I use a Roots Only bottle and bleach ONLY my roots. I mix the bleaching stuff in a bowl then put it in the roots only bottle. I also use a 1 in paint brush to smooth out the bleach. I leave it in for an hour.

I add the stain, put on a shower cap and my black cat hat and leave it in my hair OVERNIGHT. It is freaking fuchsia!!
I tend to wash my hair sparingly. I switched to the no-poo method and it helps keep the colour in as well as being able to not have to wash it all the time. When I do I use tepid water, cool enough to keep it from running, but warm enough that it doesn't suck.
I keep my hair healthy by almost never using heat treatments.
Baking soda tends to take out the stain, so when I cleanse my hair I use the Roots Only bottle and tip my head upside down.

The No-poo is interesting. My hair got really dry during the change-over, anyway some of the ends got really super fried when I went back to pink so they don't hold stain really well. The parts of the hair that grew since I went no-poo tends to hold the stain really well. It is also softer and shinier
